Matt Slick and Cheryl Part Two 9_26
Matt Slick and Cheryl 9_26
To our regular listeners, be aware the program is a bit different as the two simply approach discussions differently in personality and style. Matt did ask the same questions repeatedly that were never directly answered by Cheryl and her responses seemed to drift constantly off the points of the actual verses that were to be discussed. In listening to the show it did sound like Cheryl just did not understand the issues Matt was attempting to address, or she did understand and just would not or could not answer a direct question? A one hour radio show does not permit time for going into detail or lecturing.
I did edit two very brief advertisments from the podcast since we do not want to promote the teachings of heresy on the station or to those listening to the tapes. A paltalk debate was offered, so maybe we will hear the two of them again discuss the issue of "women elders" where timed responses with moderators may work a bit better to accomodating the style of "long" responses where lengthy explaining can be controlled by a clock.
I have to say that in listening for almost 2 hours from last week and this week, I have not heard anything yet from Cheryl that supports her position Biblically that women can be elders/pastors. Seems to me that a person given two hours should be able to make at least one good point. Sorry Cheryl, just didn't happen.
God Bless,
Diane

The show does start a few minutes in progress. Seems there was a problem with the internet feed starting off a bit late this evening. Praise God we did only miss a few minutes of the excellent Bible teaching.

Matt Slick and Cheryl Schatz debating Women Pastors
Cheryl Schatz of "Women in Ministry"
Matt Slick and Cheryl Schatz debating Women Pastors
http://www.carm.org/womeninministry.htm
EDITED to add link above new Women In Ministry section where Matt deals with the arguments of liberals and feminist and information on Cheryl Schatz and the months following the radio show.
What an interesting discussion. It is amazing what people will do in manipulating verses in Scripture and attempts to ignore the plain teaching of God's word to make it fit their personal opinions or what they want the word of God to say. Matt does point this out to the caller many times in the conversation that the caller is simply refusing to believe what the Bible says.
Oh by the way, this is Diane and I am not held down or "silenced" by anyone in this ministry. :-)
The Lord has blessed me with much work to do in His service, and I certainly do not need to be ordained as an Elder in order to be used of God. :-)

Matt Slick Answering "Is Baptism Necessary for Salvation?"
Matt Slick Answering "Is Baptism Necessary for Salvation?"
Excellent discussion back and forth with a caller and Matt going through the Scriptures on Baptism (NOT) being necessary for salvation. Correction the caller stated Baptism "is" necessary for salvation, Matt showing the caller Scripture that proves it is NOT necessary... I didn't word that quite right the first time and I have been corrected. :)

Matt Slick and Roman Catholics in Discussion 9_6
Matt Slick in Discussion with Roman Catholics Chatroom
This is an informal discussion with several Roman Catholics in an audio chatroom. The recording starts right in with the discussion in progress. There were several RC's hopping in to the discussion bringing up various topics and typing in the text was limited only to a few Roman Catholics but eventually permission given two Christians to assist with what is being typed in text. Notice the pattern, when Matt gives verses, the context or meanings are interpreted according to the Roman Catholic Church definitions or doctrines. The Scripture is dismissed specifically to Acts 10 where Matt asks the important questions, can "unbelievers" be filled with the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues just "as the apostles" and the RC on the mic takes the position they were not saved, not justified till they are Baptized.
One of the more interesting discussions is related to the term "Apostasy" with the RC suggesting Matt should not use the term according to his definition but should use the RC definition. The RC decides that if Matt cannot give an exact date of such "apostasy" then he should withdraw the accusations. The Roman Catholic Church itself cannot give exact dates for many of its "Traditions "believed to be infallibly taught by the church. The assumption of Mary as an example has no date given by any first century Christian mentioning it at all but they sure do believe it. Just interesting to observe the different debating tactics used by false religious systems. Matt was surely patient.
