Caller Christina: I am communicating via TWITTER with a man who claims to be a Christian pastor who says that homosexuality is not a sin. How might I witness to him?

Caller William from Chicago has several questions: What can you tell me about the Eastern Orthodox Church? Can you explain a bit about predestination? Matt takes William to so very important Scriptures on this topic. William also asks about an Episcopal Priest on Youtube who says that the Scriptures are not without errors. Does that mean he can’t be saved if he believes that?

Caller Simon from Minnesota asks about 1 John 2:19 and can one loose their salvation? Matt goes to some especially valuable Scriptures on this topic.

Caller Gregg from Colombia asks about “Natural” evil as compared to “Moral” evil.

Caller J.P. from Georgia reports his first time contact with some Mormon missionaries. Is there a “Witnessing for Dummies” book for dealing with the missionaries? Matt suggests becoming informed on the “Terms” and “Definitions” as found on CARM as a good starting point. Finally: What about using an electronic Bible as opposed to a customary paper Bible?

Caller Matt from Seattle asks: Is there a preferred way to approach Mormon missionaries?

Additionally: this caller shares his observations of helpful non-Christians as compared to un-helpful professing Christians.

Matt comments on an FYI e-mail item sent to him from the news regarding: Gov. Jerry Brown of California signing the new California State Senate Bill which requires public instruction in social sciences to include the role and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans, as well as people with disabilities and members of other cultural groups.

Apparently parents will not have the choice to opt out of the curriculum for their children and the studies will affect public school children down to six years of age.

Caller Eric from Virginia: I have been invited to a church that seems “cult like” in that they insist on keeping the Sabbath and Jewish feasts as part of their doctrine and practice.

Caller Bryan from Wyoming: Do you know much about the eastern mysticism which seems to be invited into Rick Warren’s church (and some others) regarding the so called, Daniel Weight Loss System?

Caller Jacob from Atlanta Georgia asks abut the “Cosmological Argument” especially in regard to “Actual” verses “Potential” infinites.

Finally: Do you have any comment on groups like “Jews For Jesus” who like to celebrate Jewish rituals, feasts, or events on the Hebrew calendar?

Matt confesses a heavy burden he has on his heart for the modern Church community which generally seems to have a low regard for the Word of God in our time.

More to the point: God’s Word seems to be by and large taken less than seriously by to many professing the Christian faith, while God nevertheless appears to pour out and maintain His mercies on our society, even in the face of our individual and national shortcomings.

Caller Tim from the Bahamas says he would like to begin a Christian Apologetics radio show.

Tim also asks: Is the antichrist a person or is it a system.

Caller Robert from Texas (usually listens by Pod-cast) asks about the context of culture and customs of Bibles times. How much can we benefit from understanding Bible verses by looking at the culture of that day?

Additionally, Robert asks if the words “Depart from me” might be meant not only to heard by those involved in the cults and unbelieving people, but could it also be meat for Roman Catholics?

Question: Why would Jesus bother to tell unbelievers not to sin if they were going to be lost anyway? 2 Corinthians 4: 3-4 is referenced.

Caller Paul from London England via SKYPE asks a bit further about 2 Corinthians 4: Could it be that “…the god of this world…” mentioned here is Jesus?

Matt's monologue was on : being in the public eye as a pastor and why some Christians leave their church and turn against God. He spoke specifically about the RCC, COC and other legalistic churches.

1st caller: Joel (Australia) ... his question had to do with people having a sexual identity crisis. Matt explained that most times this happened as a result of a molestation in their youth.
#2 caller: James(Wyo) ... he felt he had the gift of prophecy. His question was where he could use this gift in the church.
#3 caller: Eli (New York) ... he questioned the 2 natures of Christ ... and how did Jesus move from one consciousness to another.
#4 caller: Gregg (?) ...he called not with a question but a statement on the TAG Argument.
