Matt Slick in Discussion with Roman Catholics Chatroom
This is an informal discussion with several Roman Catholics in an audio chatroom. The recording starts right in with the discussion in progress. There were several RC's hopping in to the discussion bringing up various topics and typing in the text was limited only to a few Roman Catholics but eventually permission given two Christians to assist with what is being typed in text. Notice the pattern, when Matt gives verses, the context or meanings are interpreted according to the Roman Catholic Church definitions or doctrines. The Scripture is dismissed specifically to Acts 10 where Matt asks the important questions, can "unbelievers" be filled with the Holy Spirit, speaking in tongues just "as the apostles" and the RC on the mic takes the position they were not saved, not justified till they are Baptized.
One of the more interesting discussions is related to the term "Apostasy" with the RC suggesting Matt should not use the term according to his definition but should use the RC definition. The RC decides that if Matt cannot give an exact date of such "apostasy" then he should withdraw the accusations. The Roman Catholic Church itself cannot give exact dates for many of its "Traditions "believed to be infallibly taught by the church. The assumption of Mary as an example has no date given by any first century Christian mentioning it at all but they sure do believe it. Just interesting to observe the different debating tactics used by false religious systems. Matt was surely patient.
