Matt comments on an FYI e-mail item sent to him from the news regarding: Gov. Jerry Brown of California signing the new California State Senate Bill which requires public instruction in social sciences to include the role and contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans, as well as people with disabilities and members of other cultural groups.
Apparently parents will not have the choice to opt out of the curriculum for their children and the studies will affect public school children down to six years of age.

Matt confesses a heavy burden he has on his heart for the modern Church community which generally seems to have a low regard for the Word of God in our time.
More to the point: God’s Word seems to be by and large taken less than seriously by to many professing the Christian faith, while God nevertheless appears to pour out and maintain His mercies on our society, even in the face of our individual and national shortcomings.

Tim also asks: Is the antichrist a person or is it a system.

Matt's monologue was on : being in the public eye as a pastor and why some Christians leave their church and turn against God. He spoke specifically about the RCC, COC and other legalistic churches.
1st caller: Joel (Australia) ... his question had to do with people having a sexual identity crisis. Matt explained that most times this happened as a result of a molestation in their youth.
#2 caller: James(Wyo) ... he felt he had the gift of prophecy. His question was where he could use this gift in the church.
